A vintage mahogany, baby grand piano from Ludvick & Co., New York, number 106695. From the record I found it looks like it was last tuned in 1983 so it definitely does need some attention but the soundboard is good and everything seems to be intact minus a couple of key facings, of course. As this is a baby grand piano, it should go without saying it is heavy and it will need to be moved either by a professional, or a couple of really strong folks who are patient and have the appropriate tools. Luckily enough it is in the front hall.

An antique 19th century, cruet or castor set in silver plate and cut crystal. This appears to be complete but there has been some use and wear as evidenced in the photographs. Also included is a smaller mid-century modern silver plate set with caddy.

An antique handcrafted pewter, probably Swiss, tankard featuring an intricate repoussé image of a griffin. The tankard has a number of letters stamped into the rim, as well as just above the image of the griffin and is marked on the bottom "Alvazzi et Cir A Noyon". This wonderful piece stands 9 inches high.

A collection of four vintage beaded purses. The first pictured was made in Japan, the second pictured was made in France and shows significant needlework, cloisonné, and small pearl-like beads on an opaline beaded background. The third and fourth bags are unmarked, but quite lovely and all in very good shape considering their age.

A pair of cranberry crystal vases, gold encrusted, and standing 16 inches high. These are more than likely Hungarian, but they could be Austrian as well. There is some loss to the gilding as pictured but they are in otherwise wonderful condition.

In the 19th century Bristol vase measuring 9 1/2 inches high, decorated, and in very nearly perfect condition.

A decorated Royal Bonn porcelain vase, handled, made in Germany, hand numbered on the bottom and measuring 16 inches high. There is some loss to the gilding pictured but is otherwise perfect condition.

An antique bisque porcelain figurine of a young man standing 14 inches high. This is marked at the base of the reverse. More than likely Austrian, and appearing to be in very nearly perfect condition with just some gentle cleaning being necessary.

An antique Victoria Carlsbad footed cache pot standing 12 inches high and featuring two portrait medallions of classical scenes. This is in perfect condition.

A vintage-to-antique cranberry crystal trumpet vase standing phenomenal 23 1/2 inches high. The foot is gilded and it is decorated with encrusted gold floral swags.

A Danish Modern bowl by Gordon Warff for Kosta Boda. The bowl is signed and numbered on the base and measures 10 inches in diameter.

An enameled porcelain Chinese bowl measuring 12 1/2 x 5 1/2.

A pair of Irving W. Rice cut crystal perfume bottles. Each one stands approximately 8 inches high and they both bear their original foil decal. They also have etched in the base that they were made in Czechoslovakia. While the perfume bottles are in excellent condition, the stoppers are missing.

A beautiful, probably Austrian, cased crystal compote. This features ruby crystal under milk glass, cut away and lavishly decorated with gold. The compote features a highly detailed, cut pattern along the top edge or rim and measures 10 inches in diameter, and 9 inches high. Of special note, please see the photographs of the ingenious stapled repair. Pieces repaired in this manner are highly collectible.

A pair of Imari style porcelain table lamps from Knob Creek. Each one stands 28 inches high to the top of the finial.

An electrified cranberry luster that may be an unhappy marriage of components. As presented it measures 19 inches high and includes five cut crystal faceted drops.

A Steuben teardrop decanter with stopper standing 11 1/2 inches high. This is signed on the base.

Instead of six Steuben teardrop crystal cordials. Each one stands 5 inches high and assigned on the foot.

A charming rose medallion demitasse cup and saucer.

A set of four pots de creme, each with a different hand-painted fruit. Please note the chip on the foot of one of the cups. These are unmarked but the detail on the lid is reminiscent of Herend.

A Vicke Lindstrand Kosta Boda vase featuring a girl throwing balls in the air and standing 8 inches high. This is signed and numbered on the bottom.

A double spouted crystal decanter with ground stopper standing 8 inches high. While I am unable to find the signature, it looks suspiciously like the Steuben piece but I cannot guarantee it as I cannot find the mark.

A pair of crystal vases with deer hand cut into the faces. Each one measures 6 inches high. They are unmarked, but are quite heavy with thick bottoms and sides and appear to be Swedish. They could just as easily be Danish.

A collection of four mesh bags, in various states of repair but just in a phenomenal condition given the fact that most of them are over 100 years old. The largest is marked German silver inside.

A pink crystal vase jar with a silver-plated lid. The lid is monogrammed and there is a flaw in the glass, pictured. This is from the original blowing of the pink glass over the cased milk glass. While it is a flaw it makes the piece particularly interesting. This stands 6 1/2 inches high to the finial.

A set of four cased, glass, opaline, drapery, tie backs, more than likely made in Czechoslovakia. These are wonderful. Please note there is some minor damage, pictured.

A cranberry fluted bowl with the ruffled edge and heavily encrusted gold decoration measuring 6 inches x 5 inches. Also included is a (probably) Bavarian cranberry enameled glass bottle or decanter, but with no stopper. It is beautifully decorated, though, and stands 10 inches high.

A 15-volume set titled "Stoddard's Lectures" printed in 1901. The original set boasts leather binding, gilt, edging, gold, lettering, and beautifully silk-screened end papers. Wonderful condition.

A Chinese porcelain tea pot in a woven straw warming caddy. In perfect condition.

Two small hand-painted Persian boxes, made of bone, and velvet lined. The tallest box stands 3 inches tall.

A pair of highly detailed old Japanese masks, with glass eyes, and the one on the left boasts real hair. Please be aware that the one on the right does have some damage over the passage of time, as pictured. These are highly detailed yet miniatures only measuring approximately 1 1/2 x 2. Stunning.

A wonderfully carved netsuke which appears to be made of bone or shell. This is highly detailed and quite unusual.

A collection of six antique beaded purses in various states of repair but all still wonderful items to add to your collection.

A 19-volume set, leather bound with gilt edges, titled "The Writings of John Burroughs". This is the Riverby Edition and it was printed sequentially from 1904 to 1916.

A 19th century French-style papier-mâché tilt top table with mother-of-pearl and abalone decoration. The table measures 18 x 15 x 29 when flat, tilted it stands 35 inches high. Please note the ancient repair to one of the feet, pictured.

An antique gentleman's Tantalus sat with mahogany cabinet, crystal decanters with stoppers, and bronze hardware. Also included is the original key. There is some damage to the set overtime, pictured. Please notice that one of the counters has been broken an inexpertly mended. Also, the back left leg is absent, and there is damage to the bronze inlay on the front, pictured. All in all, though, it is a handsome piece from a bygone time.

An interesting old filing cabinet. Not the way you would imagine; it is a cabinet for files, though. There are two glass doors behind which are a number of files slots. These look as if they could be adjustable and some have intriguing labels. It's interesting to imagine, what sort of business might've used this when reading the various file labels, many of which don't seem to be related. In addition, there are a number of dividers that could be used as well. Overall, the piece measures 35 x 12 x 44. It does have some damage from its decades of use but it is a very unusual piece.

A 10-volume leather bound set titled "The Masterpieces and the History of Literature. This is the complete set produced in 1903 and features marbleized end papers with gilt edges and leather corners, as well. In very good condition.

A lovely cream on celadon Jasperware firm bowl from Wedgwood measuring 9 1/2 x 3.

A three-volume set titled "Comedies et Proverbes", produced in 1892 by Alfred de Musset.

Five ladies’ bags, mostly needlework. Included are examples of petit point, cross-stitch, crewelwork, and burn out.

A circa 1800 silver plated coffee urn with serving station. This is pretty substantial as the serving station is lined with wood and quite heavy. The serving station measures 18 x 22 x 3 and the coffee urn, which is also quite monumental, measures 14 x 15 x 17. This will certainly be the hit of your holiday event.

Three carving trays, one from Gorham measuring 20 inches long, a second handled tray measuring 22 1/2 inches long and the third tray is monogrammed and measuring 17 inches long.

An antique Kayserzinn Pewter ewer style lidded pitcher, with a silver wash, stag antlers, and leaves. It measures 15 inches high and is marked on the bottom. This item would have been produced around 1890.

A collection of extremely old leather-bound books, including two volumes titled "Josephus Works" dated 1809, two volumes of "The History of the Reign of Philip III, King of Spain", both of which are inscribed "William H. Harrison", with additional Harrisons, as well. Also included is one volume of "Essays on the Intellectual Powers of Man" dated 1776, and an 1895 edition of "The History of the Spirit Lake Massacre", inscribed by another family member, an undated copy of "Shelly's Poetical Works", and one volume of "The History of the Wars, Which Arose Out of the French Revolution" dated 1804 and inscribed by another family member. While these are not in perfect condition due to both their ages and their use, they are certainly pieces of history.

A three-piece, gilt bronze, crystal, and marble Rococo style girandole set. There are some missing crystals and there is some expected damage to the existing crystals, but it is overall a beautiful set.

A beautiful Art Nouveau girandole set made of pewter or spelter with a great deal of the original bronze finish still intact. The pair of candlesticks stand 12 inches high but the lovely young lady really is the star. This seems to be done in the style of Claude Bonnefond.

A framed watercolor titled "Old Monumental Church, Richmond Virginia, 1891". Also framed with the painting is the certification that this is an original work by the artist Dwight Williams. Framed, the piece measures overall 22 x 18. It could be disassembled and reframed or could be displayed with its wonderful patina.

A magnificent framed oil on panel of what appears to be an 18th century grouping of some very well-heeled individuals. It is signed in the lower left-hand corner H. Diestray and measures 26 x 22. It does seem worth noting that the painting itself seems somewhat newer than the frame but it is quite lovely nonetheless.

A Wallace silver plated wine coaster and a Sheffield rectangular server.

An antique silver-plated dome, halved, for use as either a planter, or a sconce. This was common in the day, and could prove to be a very attractive in the right environment. This piece measures 20 x 8 x 10 and matches Lot 296.

A collection of very old leather-bound books, the newest of which was published in 1825. Included are "Harriot's Struggle" from 1809, three volumes of "The Naval History of Great Britain" from 1758 and three volumes of "Ancient History", published in 1750. While, again, these are not in perfect condition you will not find them again.

An Asian, probably Chinese, table, ebonized, and measuring 17 x 13 x 25. There's an image of a rooster on the top in shades of cinnabar. It is found in its expected condition.

A circa 1940 tweed train case with a leather handle, monogrammed. While we do not have the original key, it is still a charming piece.

An ebonized Victorian pedestal with a marble top, similar in style and detail to Killian Brothers pieces, but I cannot discern a mark. There does seem to be one piece of hardware missing, and the joints could be reglued, but it is an otherwise wonderful condition. This fern stand measures 38 inches tall.

A phenomenally beautiful lady's fan, hand-painted, and made with decorated mother of pearl. It is exquisitely framed in a freestanding case so the artwork may be seen from both sides. Framed, the piece measures 23 x 4 x 16. It looks as if the frame can be opened but I did not try and leave that to you.

A vintage 1930s Guardian Service Wear aluminum Dutch oven with the original glass lid.

This lot consists of three Waterford water glasses and four claret glasses in the Ashling pattern, as well as two Alana water glasses. There are nine Waterford crystal glasses total. Both the Ashling and Alana patterns have been discontinued.

Assorted Fostoria glasses in the Laurel Stem pattern, which was produced from 1938 to 1959 and has been discontinued. There are two iced tea glasses, three water glasses, five tall champagne glasses, and two cocktail glasses. This matched Lot 305.

It appears to be in perfect condition. Also included is a 5 o’clock teaspoon, also enameled, in a Rococo style from an unknown maker.

A number of pieces of china, many Haviland and/or Limoges. The rectangular platter measures 16 x 10 and the oval carving platter measures 17 inches long.

Six 19th century Staffordshire pearl luster pink plates and two copper luster creamers. Three of the plates measure 7 3/4 inches in diameter and three measure 7 inches in diameter. The largest creamer stands 3 1/2 inches high.

An American Brilliant bowl with significant repairs. I believe the stapled repair is a lost art which makes these quite collectible. Surprisingly enough all of the saw teeth appear to be intact.

Two mirrored plateaus or centerpiece trays. The largest measures 14 inches in diameter and the smallest measures 10 1/2 inches in diameter. These would be late Victorian era, I believe.

A pair of silver-on-copper branched candelabras measuring 15 x 15 x 20, assembled. When the branch is removed, the single candlestick stands 13 inches high and the base has a 6-inch diameter. These are in lovely condition.

An antique wooden chest that resembles a spool cabinet but has a lift top with a mirror inside. Could this have been a mercantile display? It measures 20 x 17 x 10 and features two drawers with a mirror lift top.

A large collection of ladies bags, some beaded, some featuring incredible needlework, as well as some impressive cloisonné.

A set of four pink Miss Muffet candlesticks from Heisey. These were produced between 1926 and 1930.

An antique octagonal Crokinole board from Carrom. This features colorful patterns and a bright checkerboard on reverse with walnut or cherry finish. This measures 29 inches in diameter, and this particular pattern was produced between 1914 and 1936.

A pair of brass wall sconces, unmarked, and each measuring 15 x 8 x 19.

A two-tier center table, decorated and measuring 24 x 29. The top has an appliqué or decoupage image of an 18th century group of folks. There is some damage, noted in the photographs.

A large Royal Society, floss, spool, and thread cabinet featuring 12 glass front drawers. The cabinet measures 19 x 19 x 36.

An Empire dresser with a marble top, glove drawers, a cheval mirror, four other drawers, with book match mahogany veneers, acanthus leaf detailing in the corners, and in fairly good shape overall. It does have the original wooden knobs, too. The piece measures 42 x 27 x 77, including the mirror. The mirror features the original looking glass, as well.

An oil on canvas, framed that appears to be an old copy of an older original. I cannot discern a signature, but I do have the auction receipt from 1995 where it was purchased in Pennsylvania. They describe it as being by A. Klassnye. The original was painted in 1890 and titled "Portrait of Joseph Joachim “and painted by Miklós Barabás. I believe this to be a copy but an old copy.

A French Empire armchair. The frame is in wonderful condition as well as the ormolu. It is on casters which are operable but I imagine it would need to be reupholstered.

A terra-cotta umbrella or walking stick stand, believed to be Chinese, and featuring dragons in relief. There is some damage and wear visible, pictured.

A Northwood enameled amethyst glass bowl.

A collection of old leather-bound books, including a six-volume set titled "Dodsley’s Poems" dated. 1782. Also included is a copy of "The American Universal Geography" published in 1796, which is the Second Edition, a copy of "The National Temperance Offering of 1851", "Pictorial History of the Great Civil War", and an old photograph album without photographs. I would suggest paying attention to the condition but remember these are not new. Some of them haven't been new for a couple of centuries.

An antique mercantile Java & Mocha tin bin. While it has some challenges, the artwork is just lovely. It measures 16 x 21 x 23.

An antique Vienna bronze rooster, painted, and appearing to be in perfect condition. This measures 8 inches high with an impressive wingspan of 8 inches.

A small leather covered tantalus set. Maybe? I've never seen one this small but it is utterly charming. Each of the crystal decanter's stand 4 inches high. Overall, the case measures 5 x 3 x 5. Very charming.

Two copies of the three-volume set titled "Medical and Surgical History of the War of the Rebellion". These were published in beginning at 1870 through 1888 and dealt with the US Civil War, covering 1861 through 1865.

Three older framed colored etchings by Currier and Ives (152 Nassau St) that appear to have been published in conjunction with reports from the US Civil War. The first one pictured illustrates the 1864 Battle of the Wilderness, the second one illustrates the Siege and Capture of Vicksburg in 1863, and the third one shows the Battle of Chancellorsville in 1863. These may be original period pieces or they may be reproductions, it is hard to say is they are framed and matted. If they are reproductions, they are very early reproductions. Each frame measures 19 1/2 x 15 1/2.

An antique Hoosier cabinet with original glass and the original sifter appears to be complete. This piece has been used and shows all the signs of its decades of service.

An antique kitchen stool that doubles as a chair. How many of you remember this from your childhood? I know I do.

A prie-dieu or kneeler. This antique piece is in great condition minus the upholstery.

An Empire stand with a single drawer, open shelf, and one door, on casters with hairy paw feet and a backsplash. The piece measures 18 x 17 x 35. Please note some loss to the veneer, pictured.

A Victorian hall tree with a cheval mirror. This is a beautiful item, but in need of some restorative love. It does feature the original looking glass and measures are 28 x 17 x 76.

A monumentally scaled tester bed. This is an original piece and will require tools and patience to disassemble but you'll likely not find another like it. It appears to be solid walnut. Don't forget, it is large. It measures 70 x 85 x 112. Pay attention to that last figure.

A mahogany sleigh bed measuring 57 x 84 x 45. This is a lovely period piece but it does show signs of wear and age, to be expected.

A lovely French style armoire or wardrobe with a single mirrored door above and a single drawer below. The peace measures 44 x 24 x 82. It does appear as if it would come apart in three pieces for ease of movement, but I would suggest bringing tools, help, and patience.

A lovely Victorian settee on castors measuring 64 x 27 x 37. The frame is quite sturdy and it has been fairly recently reupholstered.

Assorted collectibles and rarities, including a lusterware figural cigarette holder, a small Roman terra-cotta pitcher, a brass trinket box, two marbles, and an interesting Japanese book.

An antique, handmade, handstitched quilt. Made of what appears to be a combination of satin and silk. This is a lovely, finely made item. It is not new, of course, and measures a 66 x 91.

A number of antique leather bound, and one fabric bound, medical books. While I would not recommend using them now, they are quite interesting and very old. They date from 1868 to 1911, and who knows, they may have some useful information still.

Three Oz books by L. Frank Baum, produced by the Reilly & Lee Co. These are faithful reprints of the originals, produced in 1968. The titles include "The Patchwork Girl of Oz", "The Lost Princess of Oz", and "The Magic of Oz".

Three copies of "The Wizard of Oz" by L. Frank Baum. All three are from the Bobbs Merrill Company (of Raggedy Ann fame). These are the first editions published by Bobbs Merrill as the Hill Company, which had been the first publisher, had gone bankrupt in 1901. The first one pictured was the partially colored edition while the second two pictured are the black and white edition. The third one appears to be in the best shape. but I’ll leave that to you.

Three copies of "The Land of Oz" (my childhood favorite) by L. Frank Baum. All three are from 1904, and were produced by the Reilly & Britton Co. Which at that time was publishing Mr. Baum's works. The third copy, the Popular Edition, has some color plates. This is the year the company also changed to Reilly & Lee.

Three more Oz books by L. Frank Baum, including "Ozma of Oz", "Dorothy and the Wizard in Oz", and "The Road to Oz". These are also first editions from the Reilly & Lee Co.

Four more Oz books by L. Frank Baum, including "The Emerald City of Oz", "TikTok of Oz", "Glinda of Oz", and "The Royal book of Oz".

Five Oz books by Ruth Plumley Thompson. Miss Thompson took up the mantle after the demise of Mr. Baum and based all of her books on his original works. These titles include "Kabumpo in Oz", "The Cowardly Lion of Oz", "Grandpa in Oz", "The Yellow Knight of Oz", and "Ojo in Oz". It helped that Reilly & Lee used the same format, and that John R. Neill continued to do the art. It flowed almost seamlessly.

A vintage Hansen tin lithograph baby scale. It is interesting that it gives you suggested weights depending on the age and the length of the baby and even more surprising that it goes up to 30 pounds.

An eight-light crystal chandelier that appears to be complete and was in working order when it was professionally removed. Overall, the chandelier measures 24 x 24 x 27 not including the 24-inch drop. This is a lovely piece, contemporary and in need of a good wipe. Matches lot 747.

A vintage brass chandelier, made in Spain, and featuring six lights. Overall, it measures 17 x 17 x 21 not including the 18-inch drop. This was in good working order before being professionally removed. It matches lot 746.

A set of four matching gilt wooden drapery rods, vintage to antique, each one measuring 75 inches overall, including their 12-inch finials. These have extremely elaborate finials, and would turn any window into a focal point. Each of the rods has a diameter of approximately 2 1/2 inches.
